A debate de control político la crítica situación de violencia sexual en Colombia.
Comisión de la mujer del Congreso cita a comandantes de la Fuerza Pública
Bogotá, D.C, Julio 10 de 2.020 Por iniciativa de la Representante a la Cámara Ángela María Robledo, la Comisión Legal para la Equidad de la Mujer del Congreso de la República, realizará el próximo miércoles 15 de Julio un debate de control político con el fin de discutir sobre la crítica situación de violencia sexual en Colombia que están enfrentando las mujeres, niñas, niños y adolescentes en el país y obtener respuestas de las autoridades nacionales en especial la fuerza pública sobre las medidas que están tomando para su prevención y para garantizar el acceso a la justicia con enfoque diferencial en cada uno de los casos, según especifica la ley 1719 de 2.014.
Al debate están citados, el Ministro de Defensa Nacional, Carlos Holmes Trujillo, el Comandante del Ejército Nacional, MG. Eduardo Enrique Zapateiro, el Director de la Policía Nacional, MG. Óscar Atehortúa Duque y la directora del Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar, Lina María Arbelaéz.
Igualmente fueron invitados el Fiscal General de la Nación, Francisco Barbosa Delgado, el Procurador General de la Nación, Fernando Carrillo Flórez y el Defensor del Pueblo, Carlos Alfonso Negret Mosquera.
Para la Representante Ángela María Robledo, “Es de carácter urgente que se realice este debate de control político si tenemos en cuenta la cantidad de casos que hemos tenido conocimiento en estos días. La ciudadanía necesita una respuesta frente a qué están haciendo las autoridades para prevenir esta “pandemia” que como siempre hemos dicho, debería ser considerado como delito de lesa humanidad”
Según el Instituto de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses durante los años 2017, 2018 y 2019 se reportaron 241 casos de violencia sexual por parte de integrantes de la fuerza pública (Ejército y Policía) y entre enero y mayo de 2.020 se han practicado 7.544 exámenes médicos legales por presunto delito sexual que representan el 43,49 por ciento de las lesiones no fatales en el país. De estos, 6.479 fueron realizados a menores de edad.
“No es posible que sólo cuando comienzan a salir a la luz pública casos de violencia sexual, es que las autoridades ahí sí se interesan por demostrar resultados que tendrían que haber realizado desde tiempo atrás. La violencia sexual no es un delito solamente de ahora, la ley 1719 de 2.014 de la cual soy una de las autoras, pareciera que no se aplica, no hay garantías para las víctimas” afirmó la Congresista Robledo.
