¿A UN AÑO DE LA APLICACIÓN DEL CÓDIGO DE POLICÍA SE HAN CUMPLIDO LOS OBJETIVOS PRESUPUESTADOS?
Los congresistas Ángela María Robledo, Iván Cepeda Castro y Alirio Uribe, llevarán a cabo una audiencia pública mañana miércoles 31 de enero, a un año de la aplicación del Código de Policía en Bogotá, en el que realizarán un balance del mismo.
Este análisis parte del hecho de que la aplicación del Código, a la fecha no ha cumplido con los objetivos presupuestados, como mejorar la seguridad y la convivencia ciudadanas, modernizar las medidas correctivas, para hacerlo acorde a la Constitución, entre otras.
Para la audiencia que se desarrollará en el Salón Luis Guillermo Vélez, del Congreso de la República a partir de las 8:00 de la mañana, se convocó al alcalde Enrique Peñalosa, el Ministro del Interior Guillermo Rivera Flórez, así como líderes de los sectores afectados por el Código, como vendedores ambulantes, población habitante de calle, cuidadores de personas en situación de discapacidad, y personas en situación de prostitución y/o con orientación diversa.
De igual manera asistirán el Director del Observatorio de intervención Ciudadana Constitucional de Universidad Libre, Dr. Kenneth Burbano Villamarin, un representante de la Corporación Viva la Ciudadanía, entre otros.
A propósito de la audiencia, los congresistas citantes insisten en la necesidad de crear una nueva policía para el posconflicto, una fuerza pública comprometida con la construcción de la paz, “En eso hemos estado trabajando y seguiremos exigiendo que no haya más corrupción en la policía, que no hay más ESMAD y que no haya más personas agredidas en la calle por abuso policial, necesitamos no solo unas nuevas normas de policía necesitamos en realidad una nueva policía”, manifestaron los citantes.
