Bogotá, marzo 16 de 2017
El próximo viernes 17 de marzo se llevará a cabo en el Salón Boyacá del Congreso de la República la audiencia pública sobre el Derecho de los trabajadores y los usuarios en el Transporte masivo público del País, convocado a partir de las 8 de la mañana, por los congresistas Iván Cepeda, Ángela María Robledo y Alirio Uribe Muñoz.
La audiencia tiene como propósito visibilizar la violación de los derechos de los trabajadores del transporte público como Transmilenio en Bogotá y del Sistema Integrado Público – SITP -, así como las afectaciones de que son víctimas los propios usuarios del sistema, sus causas, consecuencias y propuestas.
Al evento fueron invitados entre otras autoridades, el alcalde mayor de Bogotá, Enrique Peñalosa, los Ministros de Transporte, Jorge Eduardo Rojas, de Trabajo, Clara López, el Contralor General de la República, Edgardo Maya Villazón, el Procurador Fernando Carrillo Flórez.
“En Bogotá por ejemplo, el transporte público se convirtió en una pesadilla para la ciudadanía. Transmilenio, además de ser un negocio de privados que se construye y alimenta con nuestros impuestos, es costoso, precario, inseguro, indigno … una franca afrenta para la gente que se ve “obligada” a usarlo porque no encuentra más alternativas. Aquí Transmilenio colapsó totalmente”, aseguró Ángela María Robledo, representante a la Cámara de la Alianza Verde.
La audiencia cuenta también con al apoyo de la Plataforma por el Derecho a la Ciudad, Unión General de Trabajadores del Transporte en Colombia.
