La reconciliación será la paz de nuestro país
En esta época de recogimiento en la que tomamos tiempo para compartir con nuestras familias y amigos la tan esperada Navidad que nos reúne alrededor del nacimiento de Jesús y el inicio de un año nuevo, tiempo en el que renovamos nuestros deseos, sueños y esperanzas, no puedo dejar de pedir para nuestra adolorida Colombia, agobiada por la guerra, los odios, las violencias, la pobreza, la indiferencia, un nuevo y mejor tiempo para todos y todas: un tiempo de vida, amor y paz.
Es tiempo de aferrarnos a la vida y dejar de matarnos entre hermanos “(…) La guerra se ha hecho con hijos ajenos, la guerra se ha hecho con hijos del pueblo: el guerrillero, el sicario paramilitar, el soldado, el policía, son hijos de madres de los sectores populares en su inmensa mayoría, son ellos los que han ido a la guerra; hermanos de un mismo pueblo; mientras que los que promueven la guerra, almuerzan juntos (…)” dijo recientemente Imelda Daza del Movimiento Voces de Paz, el veedor político de las iniciativas legislativas que facilitarán la implementación del Acuerdo de Paz.
La guerra se ha nutrido de las vidas de las familias más humildes. En todos los ejércitos: el de la fuerza pública, del paramilitarismo, de las guerrillas, combaten muchachos sin oportunidades de los sectores más pobres y hermanos del mismo pueblo. Son las madres populares quienes tienen que entregar la vida de sus hijos en las batallas de esta guerra absurda. Son esas vidas las que pretende salvar la paz.
No ha sido fácil antes, no será fácil ahora porque como lo denunció Todd Howland, Alto Comisionado para los Derechos Humanos de las Naciones Unidas, ante el Congreso, sobreviven en nuestro país más de dos millones de personas que están en las zonas de conflicto, en la Colombia profunda, olvidada, desterrada y pobre para quienes la esperanza todavía es esquiva y la vida no es sagrada.
Aunque las autoridades no lo reconozcan es un hecho cierto que existe una acción decidida y sistemática de acallar las voces disidentes de esta Colombia profunda y excluida. Denunciamos en días pasados que en lo corrido de este año que termina la violencia política cobró la vida de 75 líderes sociales y comunitarios, activistas políticos, defensores de derechos humanos, sindicalistas, representantes de víctimas y funcionarios estatales; trece de estos homicidios ocurrieron luego de la firma del Acuerdo de Paz en Cartagena. De acuerdo con el Centro de Investigación y Educación Popular (Cinep) entre enero y septiembre se registraron 274 amenazas a líderes que trabajan en las regiones más apartadas.
Lo anterior pese a que el desescalamiento del conflicto en los catorce meses que llevamos de cese al fuego con las Farc, primero unilateral y luego bilateral ha ido en aumento tal como lo reporta el Centro de Recursos para el Análisis de Conflictos (Cerac) a 29 de julio: 1.244 días sin tomas de poblaciones; 590 sin retenes ilegales: 383 sin emboscadas y 354 sin hostigamientos a la fuerza pública; 374 sin explosiones intencionales; 371 sin ataques a las infraestructura petrolera y 246 días sin secuestros, entre otros logros. Se han salvado cerca de 1.200 vidas en los últimos meses, salvar una sola hubiera bastado para parar la guerra.
La semana pasada Clara Galvis, Subdirectora Médica del Hospital Militar Central en Bogotá, indicó que este diciembre “(…) en el Hospital Militar en donde recibimos toda la guerra del país, es muy gratificante decir que solo tenemos a la fecha un herido en combate (…)”. Galvis señaló que en 2011 eran más de 400 los militares heridos en combates internos en el hospital, hemos logrado proteger la Vida.
Después de muchos años de guerra, cerca de seis mil personas de la guerrilla de las Farc podrán nuevamente volver a sus casas y para muchos será volver a renacer en sus familias. Muchas madres agobiadas por años de ausencias podrán tener de vuelta a sus hijos e hijas. Hijos e hijas de la guerra podrán reencontrarse otra vez con padres, madres y hermanos que necesitarán el mayor espacio posible en todos los escenarios de la vida política, social y económica para reincorporarse a la vida civil y reconstruir sus proyectos de vida, los de sus familias y sus comunidades.
De este proceso entonces renace nuestra esperanza y la ilusión porque la Paz sea no solo el silencio de los fusiles sino oportunidades de vida cierta para amplios sectores de la población que merecen vivir con dignidad. Celebremos entonces este tiempo por la Paz de Colombia.
